Residence Card

After receiving the Residence Card at the airport after arrival all students need to register their address in Japan within the next 14 days.

National Health Insurance

National Health Insurance covers 70% of the medical fees when visiting the hospital. All students are subjects to subscribing to the National Health Insurance system (enrolling into the system is possible at your Ward Office after registering your address)

Part-time job permit

In order to work part-time in Japan all students have to provide Application for the part-time job at the airport. The school will send it to you if needed, and you can fill it out yourself at the Airport Immigration as well.

Part time job

Students are able to work part-time job after they receive a part-time working permit (a stamp at the back of their Residence Card). The hourly wage depends on the job, but in Tokyo average is 1,000 – 1,200 JPY. On student Visa it is allowed to work 28 hours per week.

Please keep in mind that if your Japanese level is not high enough you may not be able to get a good part-time job. School advises beginners to concentrate on the studies for first several months and then start searching for part-time job options.
